Cindy Chupack, screenwriter and film director who has won two Golden Globes and two Emmys for her work as a writer/executive producer on HBO’s “Sex and the City” and co-executive producer of ABC’s “Modern Family” spoke with Charles on March 4.
In 2018 she directed her first episode of television for “I’m Dying Up Here,” and her first feature, OTHERHOOD, starring Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette, and Felicity Huffman. OTHERHOOD, which Chupack co-wrote, is now available on Netflix. She’s currently writing another movie to direct for Netflix, and developing a CBS half-hour comedy with Sarah Cooper (of Trump lip-synching fame) based on Sarah’s book “How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings.”
